OXIPRO is delighted to welcome our new expert to the project team at SBSM: Christiane Hollmann, PhD.
A Biologist and Molecular Biologist by training, Christiane holds degrees from the Free University Berlin and the University of Hamburg, specialising in Immunology and Oncology, and specifically in medical and therapeutic contexts. Her PhD focused on the genetics of Juvenile (autoimmune) Diabetes at the University Hospital Eppendorf. Following this, as a post-doc, Christiane conducted research into germinal center reactions in AIDS within the AIDS Research Cluster in Northern Germany.
After her postdoc, Christiane held a leadership position in a biotechnology start-up company, developing and commercializing blood-based Cancer Diagnostic Systems.
In 2007, she joined the pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs Oncology. Since then she has gained significant expertise in various malignant diseases including Gynaecological cancers, Breast cancer, Lung cancer, Sarcoma, Genitourinary cancers, and Head & Neck cancer among others, while covering all aspects from drug development to commercialization and life cycle management.
Her career has seen her appointed to significant leadership roles, including Medical Affairs Lead responsible for the strategic alignment in Germany; Medical Science Liaison Lead responsible for implementation and stakeholder management, and positions in Global Medical Affairs working groups.
Christiane says: “I am excited to join the OXIPRO project because it enables me to pursue my passion to facilitate the path from basic research to research & development and application in daily life.
Fun fact: Christiane uses her leisure time to apply her skills as a Karate Instructor, teaching children and adults in the local sports club.
